The ReCreators is a Social Enterprise based in Auckland, New Zealand, which promotes upcycling through our community DIY workshops for kids and adults. We also have an online store for upcycled products manufactured by our creative members. We are a diverse and inclusive collective of people who tutor, design and manufacture. We believe that making with reclaimed materials promotes positive mental wellbeing as well as protecting Papatūānuku. Our prices incorporate the Living Wage as a minimum and we are an accredited Living Wage employer. The materials we use are either discarded or offcuts that would otherwise be destined for landfill. We feel they are beautiful and deserve a second chance on this planet. Our mission is to move consumers away from new products towards upcycled goods, either by making their own with the skills they have developed from our workshops, or through purchasing from our upcycled product range.
