The category finalists for The David Awards 2026 have been announced!

“The last few years have been extremely challenging for small businesses, it feels like many deserve awards just for still being around. Against this background, the fact entries are a whopping 40% up from last year and nearly 50% from the year before, drives home the benefit and success of NZBusiness's stewardship of The David Awards,” says the Awards’ Founder, Heather Douglas.

The panel of judges - which this year includes two of last year's successful Davids - has also indicated that the quality of entries was very high. Started in 2008, and supported by Voyager, The David Awards celebrate small businesses punching above their weight throughout New Zealand.
