The David Awards has become what it is today because of the goodwill and support it’s had since 2011. We’re in the process of forming a not-for-profit Incorporated Society to run it, year after year. The Society’s Constitution ensures it will only ever be a not-for-profit and that entries will never be restricted to members of any organisation or customers of any business.
The David Awards is still run mostly by volunteers who give freely of their time and energy. However, to run smoothly and professionally, we employ some people for a little bit of time to help with administration, marketing and to keep the event financially viable year after year.
We’d really appreciate your help, because, in short, The David Awards is not sustainable without support from the New Zealand business community.
There are several ways to get involved:
Give what you can, when you can.
Give publicly or anonymously.
Give regularly or as a one-off.
Ready to take the plunge? We appreciate the kind of help which gives us more control over the event, how it's run, and especially whether it will be here in the years to come. In short, Sponsorship = Sustainability + Excellence.
And in return we share the love on our site, in our emails and on our social media accounts. You get a chance to share your message with The David Awards community and to offer products and services as prizes and benefits. Best of all, it’s a chance to let New Zealand’s small businesses - including plenty of startups - know you understand what it’s like and care about their success.
Sponsorships allow you a much greater integration with The David Awards community, involve a longer-term commitment and can be tailored to suit each sponsor.
