If you’ve ever followed STYLE + SOUL, worked with me, attended one of my styling events, read one of my blogs, or trusted me to help create a beautiful space in your home, then you’ll know this business has always been about far more than cushions, curtains and colour palettes. It’s about people. STYLE + SOUL has been built through genuine relationships, community connection, consistency, hard work, and showing up authentically every single day. Over the years I’ve grown a strong and recognisable East Auckland brand by simply being myself - approachable, honest, knowledgeable, and passionate about helping people create homes they truly love. I’m not the flashiest person on social media, and I’m definitely not a TikTok queen dancing around with fabric samples! But what I do bring is over 30 years of experience in the textile and interiors industry, real product knowledge, personalised service, and a genuine commitment to my clients. I care deeply about every project, every customer, and every interaction. One of the things I’m most proud of is the incredible community that surrounds STYLE + SOUL. I believe strongly in supporting local businesses, collaborating with other East Auckland companies, and keeping things local wherever possible. When clients support my small business, they’re also supporting local upholsterers, sewers, tradespeople, photographers, suppliers and fellow creatives. That local connection matters to me enormously. I’ve worked hard to stay connected and visible through social media, blogs, newsletters, networking groups, styling events and community collaborations. A viral curtain holdback reel may have helped grow my Instagram following from 500 to over 16,000 people, but what matters most to me is the loyal community behind those numbers - the repeat clients, referrals, kind messages, conversations and relationships built over time. The fact that so much of my business comes from referrals and returning clients means the world to me. It tells me people trust STYLE + SOUL, value the service we provide, and feel confident recommending us to family and friends. That trust is something I never take for granted.
