What started as a digital map shared between friends has now grown into a trusted nationwide platform, with thousands of users discovering new spots to visit every week. The app covers playgrounds, cafes, walking tracks, indoor play, family-friendly events and more—with filters for pram-friendliness, toilets, fenced playgrounds, and other helpful info parents actually want to know before heading out. Every location is added by a real person (not an algorithm), and we focus on practical, honest reviews so parents know what to expect. Roam also features exclusive offers, community gear swaps, giveaways, and original blog content filled with tips and ideas to keep kids entertained. During school holidays, we run big events and interactive trails to encourage families to explore their local area in fun new ways. We’re proudly Aotearoa-based and totally independent.
