Bear & Moo is a baby and kids store that’s all about making parenting easier, more affordable, and a little bit more fun. We’re your one-stop shop for the parenting journey from the newborn days through to toddlerhood and beyond. Based in Hamilton and family-owned since 2018, we proudly offer a wide range of practical, eco-conscious and joyful products for modern families. Our range includes everything from our much-loved reusable cloth nappies to lunchboxes, books, toys, baby clothing, cot sheets, swimwear, sanitary pads and more. We stock both our own Bear & Moo and Hello Poppet brands, as well as handpicked favourites from local and international businesses. What sets us apart is our genuine commitment to customer service, we care deeply about our community and love being part of their parenting stories. Bear & Moo was born from a real-life “new mum” moment. I was constantly feeling the financial pressure of buying disposable nappies that were not only expensive but destined straight for landfill. When I discovered cloth nappies, I found the information overwhelming and full of conflicting advice... so I did it my way. I started small with one cloth nappy a day, eventually building up to using cloth during the day and disposables overnight. It wasn’t ‘perfect,’ but it worked for us, and that’s the heart of what we share with our customers today. Bear & Moo exists to give parents options, without judgment. We aim to save families money, offer eco-friendly choices, and empower parents to do what works best for them – whether that’s one cloth nappy a day or full-time cloth. There’s no “right” way, only what’s right for you. Over the years, we’ve grown from a few nappies in my lounge to a thriving e-commerce store shipping thousands of orders across New Zealand. In June 2025, we opened our first retail store in Hamilton, a welcoming space where customers can shop in person, get support, and connect with our team. It’s been an exciting next step in bringing our brand to life. Bear & Moo is for the parents who want to make small, sustainable changes without the pressure of perfection. Because parenting is hard enough, we’re here to make it that little bit easier.
