About My Business

At Ange’s Agribusiness Services, we believe strong people create strong businesses and stronger communities. Based in the lower North Island of New Zealand, our business provides practical training, coaching, consulting, wellbeing support, and community-focused initiatives that help individuals, families, organisations, and rural businesses thrive. Founded by Angela Strawbridge, who brings more than 25 years of experience in the dairy and agricultural sector, our business was created to bridge the gap between business performance, personal wellbeing, and community resilience. We understand the unique challenges faced by rural New Zealand because we live and work alongside the people we support every day. Our services span several areas, including agricultural training, workplace health and safety, leadership development, wellbeing workshops, mentoring, event coordination, business support, and personalised coaching. We work with individuals, farming businesses, community organisations, and industry groups to build confidence, capability, and sustainable success. Beyond our consulting and training work, we are passionate about creating positive social impact. Through our associated community initiatives, including Tararua Community Treasures and Tararua Treasures & Treats, we create opportunities to support local people, reduce waste through reuse, and strengthen community connections. These ventures provide affordable goods, local products, and welcoming spaces where people can connect, support one another, and access practical assistance when needed. Our wider vision extends through The Reset Project, a community-focused initiative supporting individuals and families experiencing hardship, hoarding challenges, mental health struggles, unsafe living conditions, or significant life transitions. By combining commercial services with community-focused projects, we are able to reinvest time, resources, and support back into the people and communities we serve. What sets us apart is our genuine commitment to people. We take a practical, compassionate, and solutions-focused approach, recognising that every person, business, and situation is unique. Whether we are delivering on-farm training, facilitating wellbeing programmes, supporting community projects, or helping someone rebuild confidence after a difficult period, our goal remains the same: to empower people with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to move forward. At Ange’s Agribusiness Services, success is measured not only by business outcomes but by the positive and lasting difference we make in the lives of others.

Why We Should Win The Peoples Choice Award

This version focuses on your community impact, local connections, support of vulnerable people, sustainability, and the way your businesses give back to the Tararua community. Why People Should Vote for Our Business in The People’s Choice Category At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief: strong communities are built when people support people. This business was never created to simply sell products or provide services. It was built to create connection, opportunity, and positive change within our local communities. Every decision we make is guided by the question, “How can we make a difference?” Through Tararua Community Treasures and Tararua Treasures & Treats, we have created welcoming spaces where people from all walks of life can come together. Our shops are more than places to browse, shop, or grab a coffee—they are community hubs where conversations happen, friendships are formed, local producers are supported, and people feel valued and welcome. We are passionate about giving back. By supporting local suppliers, providing affordable goods, promoting sustainability through reuse, and creating opportunities for community engagement, we aim to strengthen the social fabric of our region. Every item donated, every purchase made, and every conversation shared contributes to something bigger than a transaction. Our commitment extends beyond our shop doors through The Reset Project, an initiative focused on supporting individuals and families experiencing hardship, isolation, mental health challenges, hoarding behaviours, and difficult life circumstances. While this work often happens quietly behind the scenes, it reflects our belief that everyone deserves dignity, compassion, and support when they need it most. Over the past year we have worked hard to create spaces where people feel safe, included, and connected. We have partnered with local organisations, supported community causes, promoted local products, encouraged volunteering, and created opportunities for people to contribute to their community in meaningful ways. What makes this journey particularly special is that it has been built with the community, not just for the community. We have been humbled by the support, encouragement, donations, volunteer time, and friendships that have helped us grow. This business is a reflection of the incredible people who make the Tararua District such a special place to live and work. If you choose to vote for us, you are not simply voting for a business. You are supporting a vision of community connection, kindness, resilience, and giving back. You are supporting local people helping local people. Thank you to everyone who has walked through our doors, shared our story, donated goods, volunteered their time, purchased from our stores, or simply offered words of encouragement along the way. Your support has helped us create something truly meaningful, and we are excited to continue growing that impact together. Every vote represents belief in the power of community—and for that, we are incredibly grateful.
