We are a proudly family-owned business built on a simple belief: everyone deserves a warm, dry space to thrive. What we started from scratch at our kitchen table has grown into a strong rental fleet of over 85 cabins, alongside custom homes and pods built-to-order for purchase. We are based in Porirua, Wellington, and are passionate about helping Kiwis make the most of the place they already call home. What We Do We make gaining extra space effortless by focusing on quality and dedicated support. We offer two distinct pathways to help you get the space you need, tailored to your specific circumstances: For Rental Clients: We handle the entire process ourselves. We take care of the journey from start to finish—including delivery, installation, and setup—so you avoid the disruption and complexity of a construction site. Our rental service is designed for speed and convenience, letting you settle in from day one. For Buyers: When you invest in a Pencarrow unit, you are choosing quality built to the New Zealand Building Code by our licensed tradespeople at our yard in Wellington. While we focus on constructing your unit and do not handle delivery or onsite groundworks directly, we never leave you to navigate the process alone. Our team provides expert, step-by-step guidance through site preparation and connection planning, ensuring you are fully prepared for your new arrival. To date, we have helped over 450 families stay connected through life transitions. We also partner with local commercial businesses to help them scale without expensive leases, and supply schools and medical centres with essential extra space.
