Pete’s Natural Sodas is a family-owned soda company based in Motueka, at the top of New Zealand’s South Island. We make small-batch sodas using real New Zealand fruit, simple ingredients, and no artificial flavours, colours, or preservatives. It started with a simple idea. Soda should taste like real fruit. Not “fruit-flavoured”, not overly sweet, and not made from imported concentrates. Just proper, refreshing drinks made the way they should be. We use freshly squeezed New Zealand fruit wherever possible, including feijoas, lemons, and blackcurrants. That means bold, authentic flavours that actually taste like what’s on the label. Our sodas are lightly sparkling and have less sugar than most mainstream options, making them easy to enjoy any time. Sustainability is built into how we operate. Our factory runs on solar power, our glass bottles are made from recycled materials and are fully recyclable, and our packaging is designed to reduce waste wherever possible. We’re also proud of our FairTrade@Home approach. Every year, large amounts of perfectly good fruit in New Zealand go to waste because it doesn’t meet supermarket standards. We work directly with local growers to buy this fruit at a fair price and turn it into soda. It supports growers, reduces waste, and keeps more value in local communities. Today, Pete’s Natural is stocked in cafes, specialty stores, and supermarkets across New Zealand, as well as being available online for delivery nationwide. Along the way, our drinks have picked up multiple awards recognising both flavour and quality. At the end of the day, we’re here to make proper Kiwi sodas. Real fruit, real flavour, and a better way to do fizzy.

If you’ve ever picked up a drink, taken a sip, and thought “this actually tastes like real fruit”, there’s a good chance you’ve already experienced what we’re about. Pete’s Natural isn’t a big corporate brand. We’re a family-owned business in Motueka making sodas the long way, using real New Zealand fruit and simple ingredients. No concentrates, no artificial flavours, just proper Kiwi refreshment made with care. But this isn’t just about what’s in the bottle. It’s about what sits behind it. Every bottle of Pete’s Natural helps support New Zealand growers by using fruit that might otherwise go to waste. We call this "FairTrade@Home". It helps keep production local, powered by the sun. It supports a business that’s trying to do things the right way, even when it’s not the easiest or cheapest option. We’ve also been lucky enough to build a community around what we do. From cafes and retailers backing us early on, to customers sharing our drinks at BBQs, in lunchboxes, and in ice buckets at parties, our brand has grown because people genuinely get behind us. That support has allowed us to give back in meaningful ways. We regularly support local schools, sports teams, clubs, and community fundraisers with product and prizes, helping them raise money and bring people together. Along the way, we’ve also had the chance to support causes on a larger scale. Through our campaign with Heart Kids NZ, we helped raise just under $20,000 for Kiwi families.
